English Wood Fuels supplies fuel under a contract with the facilities management company Interserve to all biomass heating systems at DEFRA sites throughout the UK.

The VLA site is one of two DEFRA premises in Bury St Edmunds supplied with woodchip to P16 specification at 30% moisture. The Herz Firematic 150kW is expected to use approximately 120 Tonnes per annum.
